Does anyone have info on this league? Their rules of competition state U13 as the youngest age but I was told they will accommodate U12 starting this coming season. Any truth to that?

You actually want to take your U12 player to Connecticut and Massachusetts to play against teams that are weaker than EDP Division 1 teams??? Why??

Where did you see that? Every u12 team in GA around here are in EDP.

Any "pre" anything is a club label meant to entice more families in. It isn't an actual age group in either GAL or ECNL.

That is not true. STA has a 2009 pre-GA team,so does SJEB,Cedar Stars and several others that are not in EDP

SJEB has a Red, White and Black (early merger with Rush) teams all of which play in USYS/EDP U12. STA's own website lists GA teams starting at 08. GAL even lists that U13 and up for league play. Some clubs might hold scrimmages on the same days for the pre league age group since it is usually entire club vs club on game days but this isn't any part of the league.

You’re right but be fair, there are plenty of EDP 1st Div teams that are stronger than ECNL teams too must just DA.

Correct - same in NY with LISC and NYSC - playing a modified GA schedule and also in EDP/NYCSL

Copa, Real Jersey, STA B, PSA National...

All would be competitive with everyone except PDA Blue and Real Jersey would probably give them a close game

I am sorry but the only team that could compete with any of the ECNL teams is Real Jersey. All those others....COPA, STA B, PSA Nat.....not a chance in the world.
