Hmm side note. Just wondering how Matchfit claims on social media a girl who played for their club that went to UNC and is in a NWSL final BUT is from MARYLAND! They worked hard on her development- celebrate it 🤣 👏🏻

Boys train an hour further South so obviously makes sense if she was coming from Northern MD. Are you a little dim?

And let me add to my previous post. I just realized something. Seems you think you know a lot about the situation but are uninformed. This makes me think you had a 2009 team in the same bracket. Are you one of the parents who told the coordinator you would refuse to play us if we came? That is why we were not allowed to play, the travel advisory was the scapegoat. The real reason was that some team (s) refused to play because we are from Maryland. This was straight from the Director.

And if not, if this something you support, I ask you not to be hypocrite and play in tournaments in any of 31 states in your travel ban until they are taken of the list. Practice what you preach if you fear CoVid that much.

I admit I had to peek at that other thread too. And for 11 yr old girls, I find it absurd you went to these lengths and even created a topic on a forum notorious for where people vent, seeking guest players. What did you think would happen? Look at all the other State boards, there is just as much bickering. It makes you feel better to get things off your chest. So if you don’t like people criticizing you, don’t post!

Thanks for sticking your neck out for me. Also, I had never been to these boards before and had no idea about the banter. Unfortunately I had to learn the hard way, lol.

Anyway, I did manage to find out who had rejected to play a team Girls team from Maryland. There is a lot I would like to say but I try my best to have a higher standard.

I do love the resources from different regions this site brings. Will be useful going forward.

The entire premise of this thread is ridiculous. Some person is mad at other parents and makes a thread about it. Here's the reality - this is a great place to tease out information about clubs and coaches. Is there a bunch of false information and other crap on here? Sure, but there is enough truth - personal or otherwise - on here to make it worth a read. Unless you personally know a lot of parents with kids on other clubs, it's next to impossible to find out any information about coaches/clubs other than the public face that is force fed.

The people complaining about "Rats Snitches & Bitches" are gigantic bitches themselves. You are on an internet forum complaining because you want to do whatever they want without consequences. You aren't that important.

There are "Rats Snitches & Bitches" among parents on a lot of soccer teams already, except you may not know who is who because they don't put a name tag on. Your buddies that you might be screaming on the sidelines with every week and yucking it up about how great your kids are might be going behind your back or just collecting info to use against you when it suits them. Those parents are looking out for their kid's spot and might even be looking at your kid and thinking they might know someone who is better that they'd like their kid to play with. If your buddy turns out to be a rat, snitch, or bitch, I'm sure you'll be on here complaining about it later.

Stay local and don't ruin it for the rest of us. All we need for soccer to be shut down is one family doing what they weren't supposed to do and getting people sick. My daughter played in a tournament two weeks ago and I wouldn't have her play if there was a team from out of state, it's just common sense.

Yes, you should. You need to be careful who you talk to and about what. Look at that MF thread about no guesting. I'm sure the emails from DB and Jordan were because people ran their mouth at practice or on social media. How many parents are friends with coaches on Facebook?

Do what you're going to do, but don't advertise it around. Coaches and club people do come on here, but this isn't the primary way they get their information about parents. I've seen many different situations played out because a parent decided to talk to a coach about what another parent is doing. All it takes is one parent who thinks their kid deserves more playing time or who is worried about their kid's spot because of your kid.
