As stated every time, more than one path, but ECNL is 50% of a non power 5 conference (you stated non power 5 no ECNL advantage). That leaves NPL, EDP, GAL and USYS to fight for the other slots, you get more ping pong balls in the hopper if you play ECNL. Power 5 the numbers jump to 60/70 percent of the conference.

On that note, I'm going to determine what is the best MLB team to play for based on how the Reading Phillies do....

Non revenue sports aren’t like Football/Basketball, they have limited staffs and budgets. Players have to recruit schools as much as they recruit them. If you aren’t on their radar, odds of them randomly seeing a player at a showcase aren’t good.
The amount of non ecnl players playing D1 soccer tells me you don't know what you are talking about. Great teams have great players and of course budgets are limited but it doesn't mean they don't go to non ecnl events to check out players they are interested in. Further in a lot of tourneys, all out takes, is to walk from one field to another. Also players go to camps and that is where a majority of players first capture the interest of college coaches. They then follow up with emails and the dance begins.

To the poster that asked about composite teams, they are ECNL teams not ECRL. Every club handles them differently when splitting between 18/19 and 18/19 comp. in the old days, there was no need for the comp team until birth year mandate screwed with the teams. The 18/19 and the 18/19 comp Together accommodate both juniors and seniors - so 2 grades, 2 teams.
Composite is basically a few leftover ECNL kids not good enough to make the U18 team sprinkled with ECRL to fill out the roster. Sorry, composite teams have very little ECNL about them. Got it?

Great, SoCal Blues and PDA have decent B teams .... ECRL is DEFINITELY the place to be then. That settles it. Undoubtedly Bethesda, CFC, Wilmington, FSA, Delco, FCB, PF, SUSA, EMSC, MFA are ridiculously loaded with talent!!!

There are no absolutes. Just find the right team for your kid and be at peace with whatever league it us in. There are no great answers and no team/club/league is ideal or problem free. Complaining won’t make any this worse or better. Stop worrying about others choices.

Definitely agree with one exception. The only absolute is ECNL. It’s the best league and gives the best exposure for your daughter.

It’s true. If you are looking for another club and your daughter is good enough to make an ecnl roster, then that would be your top priority. Wouldn’t make sense to go anywhere else first.

Is this how you make decisions in real life? These kinds of absolutes?

Do you make decisions how you think? SoCal Blues ECRL are pretty good (3000 miles away in a huge city full of immigrants that love soccer), therefore all ECRL are pretty good.

As long as there is a league with the letters E, C, and L out there, yes it will be their position.

It could be the Elite Club of Handicapped Players League Playing on the North Pole, and the position would still be that colleges will come see them play. Often.
