And he verbally said on his daily briefing that soccer was one of the medium risk sports.

It's a bold move, cotton. Let's see if it pays off for 'em.

LOL.....He must have a hard-on for EDP since they miss out now on a large tournament on 4th of July weekend.

Not sure what competitions can be organized at this point ... might as well give a later date. :)

Where we at on this? Any games being scheduled on July 6?

I think EDP is looking to update the July schedule by today. Gotsoccer actually shows some EDP summer league now for July that states “6 games guaranteed” which I have never seen before.

For my son’s team they expect some friendlies for July...inter-club and local but nothing confirmed. Super Y League anticipates games starting July 11/12 or shortly thereafter.

I think July is just going to be a mixed bag with everything ramping up earlier in August than normally.

Agreed on the ramping up. Kinda silly to expect games this quickly. I would imagine most summer select teams have been notified of modifications to their programs. This summer is going to look very different from past summers. There has to balanced approach with parents, clubs and trainers as it relates to preparing for the fall. Especially with so many crappy clubs out there who lost some credibility and the influx of tryouts and potential rejigging of teams. The local level for the most part should be fine unless certain kids were planning on leaving anyway. That being said, you still have nervous parents, kids who need to get back into soccer shape, permits, and learning to play as a single unit if your team has changed.
