Not sure if they’ll ever get in but CSA and STA sure are trying. They would probably jump from GAL in a heartbeat. Shame because both could stand a little boost with the outflow of players ongoing. Any other club that could get into ECNL in NJ?

MF shore can dream all they want about it, but it will never happen.

I guess anything is possible, but why would pda want to have a competing ecnl club 30 minutes away regardless of the difference in reputations? Also, why would they do it this year (or the next few years) as everything sorts out from the DA closure? I would think they'd want to maximize the influx of kids into their programs from the area before opening up another option. This sounds more like that was promised to the parents of the teams moving over from CSA. They were all probably told this year (or next at the very worst) they were getting an ecnl branch. I would more likely believe the entire location is playing in the alliance league.

If ECNL really wants to be elite they need to institute a two tiered league with promotion/relegation. There are far to many clubs (Bucks and Delco come to mind) that are perennially at the bottom of the the ECNL in every age group. They have no incentive to get better bc there is no punishment for the status quo. And with the addition of two more clubs in close geographic proximity it will make it even tougher for the bottom dwellers to improve themselves as the top talent avoids those two clubs in favor of the newly added PF and PDA shore. Promotion/relegation is the answer if ECNL wants to be considered “elite” again.
