Monmouth has been a mess since the beginning and year after year say we are going to try to do better. Before the Fall, tab himself got in front of the parents and apologized for the past and trust the process and they will do better only to be just as bad or worse last fall. Will take a miracle for that club to ever get things right, if they haven’t lost majority of players already

They still have plenty of players left, these are the folks that truly know a great club when they see one!!

They got rid of a major toxic environment when the 09 coach left. Nothing but problems with him. (Got to give him credit though, new his contract wasn't getting renewed and made a backyard deal with MF before he got the boot.) Hopefully with the addition of the new coach from PA they can turn things around.

"toxic environment"? sounds like your kid was one of the few girls that didn't make the 09 team or didn't get the playing time. RT hardly created a toxic environment - he had 3 teams at CSA and all 3 have decided to follow him. No one leaves if he was that bad. His contract was being renewed, but they couldn't compete with a promotion and title MF were offering. MF chased him for a month and he waited to see if CSA could get close to the offer. They didn't so he left a week and a half ago. Happens all the time in this sport. How many coaches have been at CSA, PSA, MF, or where ever for more than 2 or 3 years? there's very little loyalty anywhere.

I have been around this stuff for a decade and can count on one hand how many are good soccer coaches AND are good at communication, organization and Admin. It's like they are all good at one or the other.

what are you expecting to be turned around when the teams you are talking about left with him? He and his teams are gone. You kid just got promoted to a higher level team.

My son didn't play for him. There is plenty of talk on these forums about him. Not knocking the kids, and I find it interesting how quick you are to judge another child without knowing anything about them. You can say what you want. It's out there that his contract wasn't getting renewed. He was in talks with MF back in Jan/Feb. I know 110% that he was, and you can back peddle and defend him as much as you'd like. At this point it doesn't matter. Everyone can go on with their lives. Theres more than enough clubs/teams for people to choose from. All I'm saying to the parents looking for one, stay away from this guy....

I hope my daughters club gives refunds. I could use about a grand back right now.

You should go to the "EDP Excessive Fees" thread, the EDP has not announced the money as a refund, but as a credit.

Overall, the monies clubs have, are already spent, and even though services have not been rendered, clubs are themselves not receiving money back from vendors.

In essence, don't be surprised that they will have nothing to give you.

You make it seem like edp league fees are the bulk of clubs expenses
It’s paying the coaches which they laid like 90 percent of coaches off so not paying them
Should be money to refund or owner could reach into deep pockets
And if it is a credit they will have free edp for fall

the PA coach is no joke. He will bring it there and back again at CSA. i am more than happy that my daughter will play for him next year and not that joker.

Until the PA coach disappears like the many before him! Enjoy the “stability“ at CSA.

Has anyone received their refund yet? Will they send check or issue back on credit card?

Clearly you didn’t read the message they sent out. Another stupid message on this board.

I think the actual (and sleazier) part of the story is only compensating people if they reup for another year. What does next year have to do with the Spring?

Should ask edp Jeff cup and many other tournaments the same thing. No refunds simply put just credits.

Very small minded viewpoint of all of this.

Not small minded, just correct. Each of these organizations/events should be offering either a credit OR a refund. The club or parents should the choice. You know you are staying next year, then go for the credit. Leaving for a different club, you should be getting a refund. It's understandably more complicated than that, but that's what should have been offered all the way around. Jeff Cup and other tournaments not offering refunds is just stealing. They know many teams won't be able to make the new dates or simply choose not to for various reasons.
