I've seen many talented players that drop off because they don't have the ability or desire to become better. Also plotting the best path doesn't mean top D1 school or playing ECNL. Not everyone has the same dream and aspirations. Successful people develop plans of action and execute them making adjustments along the way as things change. The rest look at what the successful have achieved and wonder why they can't do the same.

I see way too many parents with too high an expectation ..watching and filming every practice and game, private training, extra strength and conditioning , girls running with parachutes ..etc and unfortunately non of that can change what nature has created ...either someone is born with natural speed, hand eye coord etc and for soccer touch.

Like in golf some people can practice everyday and never break 100...while others can pick up a club evert so often and break 80....its not fair but that's life...
This is great advice as well.

The fact that you just offended a ton of u8-u12 parents who have their kid practicing 7 days a week, running 5 miles a day on treadmills, using biomonitors, making hype videos for facebook, and on and on and on is FANTASTIC.

Depends on your definition of fine. I’m a little more in the know and the GAL clubs up and down the east coast are losing a ton of really good players to USYS sand ECNL. The quality of competition will lower in class no matter how you look at it. The DOCS know this and are working together on how to market it to the customers.

So funny, you often see those kids on techne that are far exceeding what a normal child is capable of doing in a single day of foot skills, wall work, juggling and shooting for like 60 consecutive days(or the 75 fails it took them to perfect the drill on Instagram). Its called the law of diminishing returns and if that's all the kids does, I feel bad for them. I mean, its so far beyond bullsht, its laughable.....but come on, you cant fault them for the love of the game!

Oh yea, weekly leaderboard and some 10 year old has 25+ hours on techne. Are you really doing this for 3 hours a day? On an app? What ever happened to just going out and messing around. Every kid has to have the full beatmode soccer setup in the backyard. Parents, if your kid doesnt do it because they enjoy it and if you have to force them or pay a private coach just to get them to play, please stop wasting your money. No one gets good at a sport by being forced. If they want to train for fun, great and if that means the occasional private because its enjoyable and they take what they learn and adapt to when they play alone, great. if a private is the only way you can get your 11 year old dauhgter to play? Stop putting so much pressure and let her play for fun and see if thing change in the future.

Cedar Stars (Monmouth) 2010 Girls Team is looking for a Goalie. Ours, unfortunately, moved away. This one of the top teams in the region for this age group and looking for a New Teammate to make the team complete. Looking to start training for Spring/Summer season ASAP (as lock down starts to ease up). Once things get back to normal will be most likely having 2 to 3 training sessions per week (including Goalie Training). Training is in Tinton Falls, NJ at the Beautiful CSA Facilities at Wayside Road.

If you are interested, please come to a training session and work out with us.

              Please Contact Cedar Stars

Yes i am sure, but her teammates are all together and they love their coach.. It's up to them to put forth a product that is worthy. There will be little to hide behind as the league will reveal itself.Further, all you will need to do is take a look at the older teams and follow college coaching attendance at the tournaments-which I intend to do. That will reveal itself as well. Parents will look at quality as well as quantity. And no amount of sales babble will fool an educated parent.

I know our GAL team is losing a few key players but we should be able to hopefully backfill with younger players or potentially B team players. Either way not a great situation but fingers crossed.

Makes sense. Definitely look what happens with the older age groups.

Seems like everyone is in the same boat, survival mode patching up with any players they can find.

Yes you will see roster borrowing from all the age groups to fill teams in fall for GAL.

Would you happen to know if they can borrow players from other teams/clubs (ie temporary guest players) as well? I think that might be needed in some cases as the domino effect would affect too many age groups.
