People are confusing B, C and D teams with satellite clubs. A B team is on a club that has better players in a given area while the satellite team is in a different area. Sporting, GPS and Rush are all clubs that span the entire US so I guess the DE Rush would be a Z team by some of these responses? And sure, everyone knows PDA Blue is the tip of the ice berg for this region. That doesn't mean other clubs/teams can't compete on the same level or train/have players just as well. The whole if you aren't on Blue you shouldn't be playing or shouldn't dream of D1 soccer is garbage!

Agree with you. If one were to extend that line of thinking then no other country should play soccer at all. The USWNT should just all by itself.

Enjoy playing in low level brackets in any high level tourney if you’re playing on an ECRL team....All ECNL teams (bad or not) will get placed in front of you and all quality USYS or GAL teams will too. Just check out the facts to see for yourself then come back.

It’s just reality, you’ll always be looked down upon and treated as such. Just part of the ECNL business model. And for that reason if you want better exposure, playing for a top GAL or USYS team instead of ECRL is the way to go.

Riddle me this, if all the best players from all these historically “top“ GAL and USYS programs, that people talk so much ish about on this forum, end up flocking to other clubs to be in ECNL for what ever reason either now or when they get to HS for college exposure, wouldn’t that mean those “top” programs in those “top” leagues eventually get watered down?

I guess time will tell and point taken on the historical but this upcoming season feels like it’s going to be different and it’s really about the 11 on the field

None of the top players in GAL or USYS are going to play ECRL....But you’re right they might bump some ECNL players down to ECRL. Those players won’t like that very much....why??? Because it’s a well known fact that ECRL is far inferior to ECNL.

How can a parent find out more information about girls leaving other GAL rosters in the Northeast League? When do rosters get posted or how do I look?

I'm worried about the competition for all the travel coming up in fall. Keep hearing from sources that kids on these teams are leaving. It's legit to be concerned. Also hearing that GAL teams are going to have trouble rostering with talent because their players are picking High School for Fall.

One I'm concerned I made the wrong choice staying and two not playing HS fall if it will be that bad. Would really like to look into if possible. ETA on any info? Time is limited with summer creeping up fast.

My friend the concern is felt by many and definitely mutual. The best way would be to reach out to the club and ask....you won’t find this stuff posted anywhere.

Anecdotally, it probably was not a good sign that the clubs that could join (or rejoin) ECNL, did. And they did it as quickly as possible. And the clubs in NI that got DA status had just gotten it so they probably picked up many new players who came there for the DA.

Maybe you should ask the DOC about league teams losing players and competition level for next season. See what he has to say at next meeting. The problem is we’ve been lied to so many times it’s hard to put any further trust in GAL league messaging. At first the club did not know about DA dissolving, then they admitted they knew for months. HS soccer was awful and should not be played, then story changed to it’s a great experience everyone should do it. The DA rules were great as players had to learn on the fly from their mistakes, now those rules were awful. You see, the message will be adjusted to whatever the best narrative is to benefit them not you. If you haven’t figured that out by now I feel sorry for you. Even if players left or are leaving do you honestly think they would tell you that??? No, because that would immediately destroy the business model. These clubs are not about development, otherwise they would pull players from their B teams and get them better. Do they ever do that? Nope virtually never.
