    US Club Soccer State Cup

Has US Club Soccer's "state cup" tournament been officially cancelled? Anyone know? GotSoccer schedule says it was supposed to start March 7.

No websites make mention of it being cancelled, not on US Club Soccer site nor GotSoccer schedule site. It still talks of applications.

NJ Youth soccer says on their site that a Corona suspension update will be come on or about May 17th. EDP states that their league will continued to be "delayed" until May 17th. Hopefully we will hear something soon.

NJYS extended their suspension. Clubs got emails yesterday. Coaches should get them tomorrow. See email below.

This notice is being shared with Club Board Members and Recreation Program Contacts in our database. This message below will go out to registered coaches tomorrow afternoon and to membership (including registered players in our database) on Tuesday morning at approximately 9:00 AM. As a reminder, NJ Youth Soccer will host a webinar for club leadership on Tuesday at 12 PM noon to communicate specific updates to our Return to Activity guidelines. Click here to register. If demand exceeds online capacity (250) and for those unable to join at noon, we will record the webinar.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the communication from our local, state and federal government about social and physical distancing, NJ Youth Soccer is extending its suspension of all affiliated and sanctioned soccer activities statewide. Our primary focus continues to be the safety and welfare of our players, coaches, referees and communities. For our member organizations (towns, clubs and leagues), this suspension includes, but is not limited to, all in-person events (e.g. practices, training, scrimmages, clinics, tryouts, games and tournaments). Moving forward, we will provide frequent updates as we monitor this issue daily and evaluate the opportunity to return to activity.
As US Youth Soccer State Associations across the country begin to institute new guidelines for youth sports activities, we are taking similar steps while following the directives from our Governor Murphy and the State of New Jersey. We trust many of us are all eager to get back on the field and start playing. That said, we need to be cognizant of our community’s rules and requirements. It is our goal to maintain a spirit of fun and enjoyment, while making sure we comply with all local rules to better protect the health of our community.
We hope to see you all safe, healthy and on the field soon. We Are New Jersey Youth Soccer!

Meanwhile, batting cages and parks are open.

There should be no problem kicking a ball around. Just no games, no scrimmages, passes and shots should be okay.

You are wrong because the email from NJYS clearly states that going back to playing soccer is not ok yet. Go back and read it again. There are many indicators in that email that show that NJYS does not think that it is ok like this comment "Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the communication from our local, state and federal government about social and physical distancing, NJ Youth Soccer is extending its suspension of all affiliated and sanctioned soccer activities statewide" or this comment "this suspension includes, but is not limited to, all in-person events (e.g. practices, training, scrimmages, clinics, tryouts, games and tournaments)" or this comment "It is our goal to maintain a spirit of fun and enjoyment, while making sure we comply with all local rules to better protect the health of our community". So it definitely plain as day that it is not ok to open up soccer again.

Obviously you missed the sarcasm in that post..not the op but I saw it. If it is safe enough to open the boardwalks, parks and beaches why would youth soccer or any youth sport be any different? If anything they would have better precautions as most if not all youth sports games don't draw hundreds or thousands of people. Practices could be players only and broken into small groups. Far safer to be at a practice or even small sided scrimmage then at the shore.
