My daughter is going to college next year and she is doing live training with her future team every two day. Everybody does it. Players exchange videos every day about training.
Brian is always looking for something to stir the pot. Every day. If you are not comfortable just have your daughter sit down and watch tv and her iPhone . Oh wait I am going to send you an article that stated that is not recommended for your eyes to watch too much tv. So should we sue you tube now? Or Netflix?
    Stupid thread

There are so many stupid comments on here. I don’t think we can blame Brian for all of them.

Who is being stupid? The one got up 8am ET and responded to a thread s/he said he doesn't care? Or the original post?

The answer seems obvious unless you live in alternate universe.

I know that would be the equivalent of a PHysical Therapistv sending someone soccer training you tube videos. I think the intent is good but the result could be bad.

FYI -just telling you all to avoid getting yelled at in reply posts that I have no soccer background whatsoever, and I am not using "foot dancing" as a derogatory comment. That's what I actually call it with my kids because that is what it looks like they are doing and I am amazed every time I see them do that crazy "foot dancing" with the ball.
While those with home owners or some kind of insurance this wouldn't be a huge deal unless you told the insurance company they were doing a live session training. The issue is if your kid trips over the ball while doing their "foot dancing" and gets hurt. Accidents happen. All US Club and US Soccer has said is that they will not cover insurance, which is provided to all players when they get carded, because club activities are supposed to be shuttered.

Good thing kids can sit out and aren’t forced to do anything. For the ones who take the “risk” then whatever.

I totally agree! Let the kids be kids enough with this coronavirus nonsense. If someone is willing to take the risk training, playing, going to the beach etc. that’s their problem. This is a free country and we don’t need youth soccer authorities dictating anything. That’s why I’m glad my kids club CSA continues doing a great job sending you tube videos of training everyday. Important to stay fit and glad they are bypassing these bogus guidelines.

The soccer authorities aren't dictating they informed the clubs that the insurance would not be valid. Clubs can do what they want but they assume the risk of doing so. Every says they are fine until your kid tears an acl doing a drill during one of these sessions or runs out into the street chasing a ball and gets hit by a car. Just because there may be a low chance of it happening doesn't mean it can't.

That could be said for anything! So again, luckily we all have the choice to let our kids participate or don’t.

Listen, bottom line these clubs workers have to eat so if they are willing to take the risk at the possible expense of the whole club going under (due to lack of ins coverage) so be it their problem!

Typical liberal mentality I want my Mia to be playing on such and such elite special super duper team/league but god forbid she gets injured doing some extra training, I’ll sue them!
