I don't think anyone is going to know for sure until the rosters are finalized, but I don't think the club and player loss from DA-> ECNL can be overstated. No one can look at past records and claim a (now) GAL team will be competitive with USYS or any other league based on these losses. Looking at players only, if the top quarter left wouldn't that degrade the GAL rosters to a large extent? I think everyone is jumping the gun on all pronouncements, but let's be real here about potentials.

I don’t think it will be the top 4 or 5 that leave but instead 1 or 2 of the top and a large chunk of middle and bench players looking to finally get some looks.

STA losing a lot of players. Parents I spoke to said there is a major backlash because how DA treated them at the end.

Yes. Some of these clubs will be not look these same. STA probably weakened the most of any. It’s a shame they once had a good thing going.

You will not be able to list one that will have any chance of beating a USYS team The last few weeks have been hell for GAL clubs. Players are leaving as coaches have started having small group tryouts

I'm actually quite surprised how easily the mass exodus of players from GDA/GAL into ECNL has taken place. I was under the impression ECNL was the top notch league and where any serious player plays (as has been mentioned several times on TS).
If the mass exodus is true, makes me question the validity of those statements as easily 1/3 - 1/2 of rosters were easily replaced on ECNL clubs.

Important to get on encl team before next Spring. If fall GAL is subpar you need to move fast. Really risking it at GAL club. Too many variables that your DOC can’t control that can only lead to harming your daughters path.
