Originally posted by Unregistered View PostI love posts like yours! I'd rather there be a great situation for everyone's kids. My point is your experience is your experience. Maybe CSA Bergen is different than the issues myself and others have had at Monmouth. Putting out a blanket statement that you have to be a crazy soccer parent for the club to not have solved the issue is discounting a lot of posts on here stating the opposite (although I never dealt with admin). My experience was much like the prior poster. Heavy recruiting even during the season, constant roster changes, scrimmages taking up the majority of practice time, etc. I'm not on here bashing the club. I'm agnostic towards them as I didn't go running to administration for any of the above issues.

I know a handful of families whose D's have played on CSA Bergen teams over the last few years. The coaches and the organization seem to be fine, but the challenges at least as I've been told has been the commitment level (or lack thereof) of a lot of the families/players. Players skipping practices, games, tournaments, so the coaches are always having to bring players from younger teams or simply play with a very short bench. Of the half-dozen-ish families we have known (01 thru 05), the 01 player is the only one who did not complain about that.

Amazing player retention. In fact he had to create a waiting list because too many girls were looking to move to CSA midyear from their respective clubs when they heard how great he is doing with the program.

It’s just a business and everyone has to look out for their best interest. Hope everyone understands that.

They didn't anticipate that problem, most of the teams have 15 or fewer players so they girls can get more playing time, when 2 or 3 can't play they end up short. Personally I don't see this as a problem, it gives the girls who do show up more chances to play and chances to play at different levels.
