This is the type of thing that small so called academy like clubs dont want you to know. You see that’s who the psa copas etc of the world are playing now.
There are 7 real academy programs in the nj area depending where you live. From south to north
Sjeb, csa monmouth, pda North, match fit, sta, csa Bergen and World class.
This is not to say that the teams are better or worse than than anyone or their coaching is either. What these 7 places can do for you is give you the college exposure that all
The other clubs in our area can not. College coaches come to the ecnl
And da showcases at such a different rate than edp ir national
League showcases. They look at these 2 leagues as the cream of the crop and competition at the highest level. It’s not a matter of opinion the numbers support this and it’s simple fact. I’m not downing any team or club.
If college is what you are looking for your child best chance is to play in one of these 7 clubs( there are exceptions nothing is 100%)

Also if you’re on an academy 2nd, 3rd or in some cases 4th team it’s not worth it...for example PDA now fields 2 ECNL teams, if you’re on either that is a good investment, any other PDA location (Shore, South etc) or lower tier team at North is just not worth it. You’re in the shadow of the ECNL teams and funding the club. I’ve even often heard PDA parents of the ECNL teams share the same feedback.

Again, research is key, for example CSA Bergen only have DA approval for Girls at U14 and U15, which renders the college point moot, in their regard.
PDA North only have DA on the boys side now.
No boys DA program for SJEB Rush or STA
Match Fit not on the list

I was really speaking about girls soccer. And for most in nj nysc is really not an option because of distance.. but for some it is. Csa Bergen May not be a college option today but starting next year coaches will come to see 05’s in large numbers at showcases.
Red Bull’s is definitely not an option on the girls side as there is no pathway at all.
Lastly match fit is listed by me right after pda north in my original post.

Ecnl and da are both equally good options to get the best college exposure fir girls soccer
