Alliance Soccer League started because EDP excessive fees and non-responsiveness to club requests created an opportunity.

Kids playing high level soccer below DA or ECNL, should not be traveling 2 or 3 hours to games, one-way.

Doesn’t EDP offer National-level exposure for their top teams that qualify for the National League? I don’t think Alliance League offers that but I could be wrong.

Very watered down at the older age groups. Colleges tend to hit DA and ECNL showcases first.

That NL level is only a year old. Another way to charge more money, EDP charges a higher fee for that level without doing anything special.

Alliance Soccer League is just a year old too, you don’t need millions of dollars to construct a platform. But you do need brand awareness.

Alliance is basically a step up from MOSA and Mid Jersey, basically what JAGS used to be. Would not want to play in that league if I was a team or player looking for good competition and a challenging environment game to game. But good luck if you’re sold on its “local” playing benefits.

On the thread, EDP better send out refunds. The fees have been lining their pockets for the last few years. Someone said $3 to 4 Mil, and it's a joke that EDP gives back. Total bull****.

To have that 1st Team program to compete with ODP and ID programs is EVIDENCE that EDP has the financial capability to bankroll a new program from EXCESSIVE FEES.

They probably have a bunch of administrative staff as well as offices that needed to be paid for. Regardless, I'm sure "operating costs" will very closely equal amount brought in.
