It's almost cult-like the level of denial going on here. It was a bad, program loss at home in regulation without going to PK's. No other way of spinning it.

Upsets happen-it’s sports. In the 2018 NCAA Basketball tournament, UMBC 16th seed beat UVA, a #1 seed, in the 1st round. Sure it sucked for UVA but their program didn’t fall apart. They won the whole thing in 2019. In sports and in life, how you respond to failure is just as important to be humble when you win. Life goes on.

Couldn’t agree more, Rutgers will be favorite to win it all next year and no doubt this year’s unfortunate disappointment will be a huge motivator to go all the way. Plus not to mention they will be loaded with top PDA recruits that will hopefully be persuaded to stay home and make NJ proud!
