Its a very bad example, and on top of that your arguments are self contradictory. Believe it or not, typically "other parents" are relieved that other kids either leave (most likely) or improve (not likely).

I see lots of coaches abuse players in games and in practice (more frequently with boys' teams), in fact i know of only handful that are not abusive to their players. I also see even more parents abuse players on the sidelines.

you need to define abuse. Constant vocal belittling in front of peers is one thing. A parent on the sidelines snidely commenting on players is another. Both are wrong, one is clearly being condoned by parents paying MONEY to experience it.

This stuff belongs in the Dynamite thread for any new parents looking for input about SC. Whether you are for or against him.... They may not see it here.

Your math is way off here. MF has ECNL and ECNLR teams. Most clubs have U18 and U18/19 Composite. I don't know if this translates to 40 or 60 players. The 2020 alumni list has 14 D1 commits? For a club that probably has 45+ players in each group now - if not more, that translates to a success rate of 1/3.

Who can break down the class of 2020 and based on the alumni list say how many players have trained with MF for 3+ years?

Stage 1: Tryouts, DB tells you your kid can play college, and ECNL is best platform. Lots of kool aid parent friends
Stage 2: Practice and Games: Emails come out saying kids need to scale down their goals
Stage 3: Some of your friends get pushed down to ECNLR
Stage 4: Someone forwards you an email that a coach was interested in your kid, but somehow DB never bothered to send it to you
Stage 5: Alumni list comes out and you see that there are just 5 kids that committed to school that has a mix of academics and sports

Don't fall for the lazy MF scam. Get out before stage 1 hits.

U18/19 Composite is ECRL. You seem to have a huge axe to grind. Also how many clubs second and third team players go to play D1 soccer? Answer very few. 2020 list is pretty strong considering all the hate they get on here. Boston College, Rutgers, Louisville.

Stage 3 should read more like ‘My daughter got pushed down to ECRL and I vicariously live through her, so now I spend my time on soccer forums to make myself feel better’

Which player is on the committed list to Rutgers again?

I'm looking at MF having 3 teams in most group. I have no clue whether the 3rd team out of the 2002 cohort just quit, but no matter how you look at it, having 5 kids going to a competitive college from a group of 40-60 kids is just pathetic.

                    Lazy coaches produce lazy players.

Busy making tik-toks...something for every age group now at MF (except soccer)

Until you can attract the best players from other states you will struggle. Especially when the best players from NJ often leave the state.

Unfortunately best players are switching to GDA, but great players are still in NJ. So, the struggle is for Match Fit management to bring coaches that are not lazy and are willing to put in some effort for the amount of money they get.

Interesting - how do you know how well paid their coaches are? Best players going the other way in droves.

How noob are you on this forum? The salaries were already dragged out through the mud here long time ago. Public tax returns.

Q: why do MF girls enjoy HS soccer so much?
A: because training is better, and teams are higher quality

Most of these "top" NJ clubs are extremely similar.

Some observations...when it comes to player rating, it is mostly about opinions and luck.

Top half of many A teams are standouts and most of us understand why the club loves them....next 7-20 players are probably pretty similar in skill to one another. If you find yourself and daughter in top half of A team more than likely you are happy with your club choice.

Players 7-20 and in some cases 7-30 its a complete coin flip. If the club rates you high you are golden, if not GO somewhere else where they will put you in top of A team. Maybe even "gasp" EDP. It could be just as simple as the style of play they want vs your daughter's skill set. It could be that they still associate your daughter of four years ago to now. Could be they have a better striker or CM. It doesn't matter just GO! There is no loyalty from the club...and in many cases if your daughter is on the cusp of a top team, probably she is pretty good, go find her an environment where she will thrive. If she is the second best striker at PDA she might be the second best in the state. Most of us negotiate many things in life...start doing it for your kid.

There was an article last year that said roughly 400 girls from NJ were playing D1. Roughly 100/yr. Once again let me repeat that 100. For a reference point there are roughly 850 high schools in NJ. Some of those colleges where the 100 are playing are not exactly the D1 schools we want our kids to attend. True many come from a powerhouse like PDA. But they also come from other places. If unhappy and your daughter is good find someone that puts her near the top and have them develop, advocate and coach your daughter. Screw the letters on the jersey....No one outside this bubble cares if your daughter plays for PDA, MF, STA, CSA, PSA...if you are happy be happy. Just a note, are you just as nuts about whether your daughter is at the top of her class academically? Do you do standardized testing training? Extra course work during winters and summers? Just food for thought.

Face it most of our daughters aren't playing D1, most of them want to play high school and then they will see. If your hell bent on D1 give your daughter a field hockey or lacrosse stick, much better chance they will play D1 in those sports before soccer. Better yet have the hit the books just as hard as sports and those academics might just be what lands them on the bench at a fantastic D1 school.

All clubs have great stories.....all have horror stories as well...it's just about where your kid stands with the club.

                                Just some observations for thought...
