Except this person, playing off their common last names, was referring to Wayne Rooney, who will be leaving DC United and returning to England as the player-manager for Derby County, and not Meredith Rooney.

I was happy to see Wayne revitalize his career in the MLS as it was disheartening to see the dramatic drop-off of his level at United and Everton, always hard to watch the greats hang on too long. I’m am cautiously pessimistic about his new role at Derby however. They’re mid to lower table in the Championship right now and lost some of the talent that almost got promoted last season. Concerned that he gets off to a Vincent Kompany-like start at Anderlect and faces a relegation battle during his term.

As for Meredith, don’t know her but on a human-level wish her well and hope that she finds an escape from the dumpster fire that is MF.

A much more interesting piece of news would be to discover that MR was a coach at Stallions at the same time as the "Screamer". Perhaps do a piece on how they compared with the teams they managed.

Meredith is a good coach and a good person. She is the only thing MF has going for them. Its only a matter of time before she moves on
