Why is that weird? HS is important for most players. Virtually no players get call ups for national team service so congrats are in order for any player that accomplished. Although the youth club probably has little to do with it.

And for a NE player - very very rare - there were zero on the latest U20 roster. Zero.

Hard to believe that PDA a strong north east club does not place any players on NT rosters why is that?

many reasons. individuals make teams. Club "success' has nothing to do with it. if im the best player on say WC or MF and am getting access to all the colleges I want. why would I leave? In the old days, those players left for PDA. at the very top of the pyramid, there is no need to leave. Its the level down that is susceptible to the PDA will make the difference argument.

Reality is PDA will not make them NT players, they will. PDA have more "good" players than anyone else (that is reputation and marketing), but they do not have more "elite" players.

Even if PDA player makes the NT call up, the credit should always go to MF. First rule of soccer marketing.
