Miguel Gutierrez brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our program. Hailing from San Diego, CA, Miguel's soccer journey spans across North and South America, where he honed his skills playing professionally for renowned clubs such as CR Vasco da Gama in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Pumas UNAM in Mexico City, and C.D. Veracruz in Heroica Veracruz, Mexico, among others.
After retiring from professional play, Miguel redirected his boundless passion for the game towards coaching goalkeepers. His extensive playing career and exposure to diverse coaching methodologies have profoundly influenced his approach to goalkeeper training. With a commitment to excellence, Miguel has had the privilege of coaching goalkeepers across all levels, from youth development to the professional stage.
Currently, Miguel thrives in the dynamic environment of Major League Soccer (MLS) while also serving as the Founder of UNMATCHED Performance, a testament to his dedication to enhancing goalkeeper skills and performance.
Prior to joining Match Fit Academy, Miguel held pivotal coaching roles, including Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper Coach at San Diego State University, Goalkeeping Director at Albion SC, and contributing significantly to the development of players in the MLS Next / Girls Academy.

Interesting. A search of this guy doesn’t come up with much — he was a Volunteer Assistant Coach (Goalkeepers) at some no name place two years ago. Seems like a lot of fluff in announcement. A drifter who struggled or had issues on the West Cost?
DB’s goal is the sell fluff, take your money and squeeze as many girls possible unto a field.
