Very true. Problem is when you have played and know what you’re watching too. It’s bad either way lol.

U.S. Soccer at fault. Leagues at fault. Tournaments at fault. Clubs at fault. Admins at fault. Coaches at fault. Parents at fault.

Players should just run it themselves since no one makes decisions that help them.

Parents who never played are the ones being most preyed on by clubs . Kids who parents never played can be possibly good at 9 but kids who parents played and were good will be good at 16

Just see the match fit exodus thread. “Sometimes you just have to kick and run to win” —— “yea but you should stop trying to win and start learning how to play” ——- “all about winning baby” ——-“nooooooo you need to develop”

Haha because no one knows what development is!!!!!!! They think winning means they are great and better than their opponents. I’ve seen physical, kick and chase teams beat up on teams that play the right way and brag about how they are better. And the point of the game is to score. They have no clue what soccer should look like and only care about winning. I’m the opposite. I actually didn’t play soccer but I watch a TON of soccer and know what it should be and I get so frustrated watching my daughters team play every week. I’m having a very hard time finding a team where they play the right way!!!

My kid is still better than yours so it doesn’t matter if I played or didn’t play. Only nerds played soccer growing up.

I think it’s a combination of many things. The biggest thing is that the culture of soccer isn’t really an American thing. You go to Europe and the grandmother knows the game even though she never played. Just come with the territory and not sure it will ever change.

Parents who never played are the ones yelling and fighting at 10 year old games , and also the ones who post baby soccer stuff on social ! lol so dopey .

Kids need parents who played to teach them , clubs don’t teach they are “evaluators “

I respect parents who didn’t play but watch and try to learn but if you never felt it you’ll truly never know . Technical stuff the most
