    PDA South 2012 Girls

I don't know why I'm asking but TS, but here it goes anyways. What's the scoop on the this team and coach, besides their record? Any parents from that team on here that has input?

It's a great group of girls and the coaching/training has been good. As far as their record goes - the games are close, they are playing in a very tough conference (ranked 3rd toughest ECNL conference in the country) so the competition is top notch. They have a really good core and in my opinion only a few players away from competing for one of the conference playoff spots.

In regards to the level of competition within the conference, here are each teams national rankings per Rankings App.
    Team League Ranking
    PDA Blue ECNL 14
    MFA ECNL 39
    PennFusion ECNL 43
    FC Delco ECNL 47
    Bethesda ECNL 60
    Ukies ECNL 112
    PDA South ECNL 174
    Maryland United ECNL 189
    Pipeline ECNL 297
    PDA White ECNL 455
    HEX ECNL 534

Yes- my daughter is their best player.
Your daughter needs to pass the ball to my kid more.

Like any team…..you add a few more talented players…it’s a better team.

Scores appear close-ish, but it's always hard to tell from scores. Did the other team own possession for like 90% of the game? Who knows.

There's talented players on various non-ECNL teams near PDA South. Going to keep an eye on them this spring and try to get to a game to see how they play.

What league do you currently play in? Are you looking to join pda south? If so, you should attend some games and play practices to get a good feel for the team and coaching style.

Not set on anything at the moment and looking at options. Will reach out to the coach, but I was looking for info on here, knowing I would need to sift through BS as well.

Came across this post that covers some of it.

Players registered to another ECNL or ECNL-RL team cannot attend, so attendance will not be great.

Every club is the same to an extent. The good thing about pda south is it’s in ECNL so better competition and better college recruiting than possibly where you currently are. If your daughter adds value to the team, it’s a good move because you know she will play. Good luck! Def worth checking out. I know a couple good players on that team!

Yep if she’s good she’ll get the playing time while bumping a player out. And in the near future your daughter will be replaced by a better player. Thats what they do. There’s no development there. It’s get players to join the team while still looking for new players replace those new players that joined the team.

Some of the PDA south parents are nuts and think their kids are better than they are. Few solid players but overall need some more talent.

They aren't good. That team will look very different in 2026 if not next year.

Why will they look different? A lot of new players coming in?

No different than any PDA White team. They will lose a lot.
