Yup and good grades get you other money as well.

Not worth it on the girls side either for ECRL.

Even many Euro pro basketball leagues limit the number of import players. There should be an NCAA limitation imposed.

A scholarship cap could work. The way around it would be to offer the “non-scholarship” foreigners forms of grants or other subsidies to offset the cost.

Because third rate European cast offs are still better than us kids at playing the game.
as long as we keep allowing us soccer to treat us like idiots they will. Closed off leagues, parents desperate to chase a badge so their kids social media looks great, Red Bulls field 4 teams an age group and destroying the landscape because parents think their u8 is going to play for Red Bulls first team. It’s a mess and us soccer doesn’t care because the majority of american soccer parents shout like they know the game but in reality we are dumb. We don’t know what development looks like, we chase bad soccer for a badge, we pay private trainers lots to scam us and we come on here acting like we know it all and yet do nothing to change the landscape. I have been and done these stupid things, but I have tried to learn along the way, i have been misguided by what I thought were knowledgeable parents but in reality they didn’t know any better than I did.
soccer parents are 75% to blame for how bad things are because we are so gullible and easy to take advantage off.
