There is no end in site. The system unless completely blown up which won’t happen will never change now. It’s all about the $$s and chance for riches.
$900 to play at the PDA showcase for 2 35 minute games. $1350 to play at the EDP Showcase for 1 90 minute games and 2 60 minute games. Do the math. Everyone needs their cut on the backs of players. Add in travel expenses for Jeff Cup, FC Delco, Dallas, Regional and National events.
coaches need to get paid, turf reliefs need to be rented, club administrators need to get paid, refs need to get paid, uniform suppliers need to get paid, leagues need their fees, college recruiters need to get paid, private trainers need to get paid, etc….
system is designed for those that can afford it. Unfortunately the options beneath this that are affordable are deemed unworthy and not good enough so they fall apart and kids quit the game. are we better off? We will know inn5-10 years when looking back.Comment

Meredith Rooney is a really good coach. She tells it like it is and is not afraid to speaker her mind which ultimately has affected her career as no clubs will hire her. I remember when she was at Matchfit around 2019. It was short lived but while she was there a bunch of girls came to Matchfit to follow her then Matchfit fired her. She didn't get along with Bucci (go figure) These days she does private and group training on her own. My girls still train with her. We need more female coaches like her.Comment
