Who cares? They’ll flip or they won’t. Some people will be happy, some people will be mad. They are the vocal minority. Most of us will just figure out where our kids have to play. There will be some adjustment when they can’t play with “their team” and their friends. They will make new friends. Life marches on. I don’t remember most of my childhood teammates.

Can someone confirm it will change to teams with players birthdays between 8/1-7/31 (regardless of grade, since NJ cutoff is 10/1 for grade) Or is it actually GRADE. (If you were held back and fit into 7th grade team, even though you should be in 8th???)

If anyone has a 2011 born in August or September currently in 8th grade, would you keep them with their 9th grade teams next year (U15) or keep them back with U14 again? I think it would be weird to move them down if they would alternatively be playing with their current grade.

Meeting is 11/22 to decide
there still is so confusion. Get off the grade issue. Ppl having been holding there kids back for years to get an edge. It happens and will. Maybe it will be harder but ppl find a way. Rule change could be could due to that it gets kids playing more with kids their age and school grade year. There is a huge difference in a girl in 6th and 7th grade just socially.

Different school districts, different counties and differerent states all use different cut off dates so it will never really be a grade thing. no matter what there will be "trapped" players.

He would be the youngest but otherwise he would be playing with 8th graders. I think this is a NJ issue or other states where the cutoff for school is 9/30 or 10/31.
