Just find good training. If you’re winning but the ball is more in the air then on the ground you will regret it in about 3-4 years. If the coach doesnt challenge the kids to play out of the back, but rather punts the ball hoping for a big bounce for his forward to run onto….find another team.

Everyone likes to hate but if you have a 2014, this may be a legit question. There are nearly 3k posts on the 2013 thread. Rankings app is accurate. Lots of individual talent across many of these teams and some have been playing 9v9 longer. Some score lines don’t accurately reflect the quality of the team. For example, PDA doesn’t have a goalie (or at least they didn’t for a long time) but they play nice possession soccer.

Part of the reason there are 3k posts about 2013s is that its probably the strongest age group in NJ since 09s and maybe even better. Plus, the better the Jersey shore area teams are, the more nutters you have on this site. The 2014 age group isnt at the same level, but there are still some really good teams and these kids have a ton of soccer left to play.
