Have you spent any time on this board before? Have you ever looked at the other states compared to NJ? This is full of nutjobs, not sure why people are so whiny in this state.

Because everyone thinks their kids are studs, regardless of where they play. I've seen alot of these kids play throughout the years in clinics, camps, drop in sessions, group training, etc, and quite honestly, the parents need a reality check.

Selling script to generate votes for any parent that wants to make sure their kid wins or the petty ones that want to make sure certain kids don't top.

Yes, it is actually VERY easy to generate votes for this or did you really think 20k-60k people voted for just the winners.

Everything NJ.com does is a shame. The only players that they focus on are the ones who score, assist and the goalie. So you can be a garbage player that scores 30+ goals a year playing against weak schools and get a top billing. That and those conference and state awards are all crap. Having been a HS coach, not in soccer, I've been in those meeting where coaches have only nominated seniors and basically vote against their own player for another just to get their preferred person in.

To be fair , nj.com does a great job covering all girls soccer. They boast on all players as they should. Yes, some are scoring goals on players that could be mistaken for a traffic cone, but you
can only play who is on your schedule. At the end of the year ( all state) the 60 goal scorer is nowhere to be found on any of the all state teams. Nj.com knows who they are playing against and that the goal scorer is not all state caliber. Also to nj.com defense, they usually only write an article on games they see, all other blurbs are written on stats plugged in by teams after each game.
There are some great players in NJ playing soccer and IMO the scouts ( if u call them that) can usually see teams once a season and they do the best they can. I think when all
Conference is decided by coaches and seniority it blemishes the accolade for sure, but nj.com picks all state and that may have more merit. Go NJ soccer. Let’s remember - we have some ledgends that have played NJ soccer, and some soon to be legends as well. Many NJ current players playing for the US and other countries as well. Celebrate it will ya.

Pretty sure the Rutgers Prep girls scoring 60 per season have been players of the year....and played on the USWNT U17 team. NJ.com has teams seeded higher than other teams in the group rankings and then lower in the conference ranking...they try but "great" job....hmmmm

Nope not them. Check their schedule previous years. Don’t look at one game and define competition.

The past 2 years RP were in the top division of skyland conference. Beat #1 freehold , beat state champs Princeton day. Beat de Paul twice. Lost to Pennington - championship program for years. They play top teams. But let’s be honest, I’m sure no one is calling RP for a game. No one would want to play them. Pennington cancelled on them this year. They didn’t want to play them. Ham and eggers are the the teams they had to play in early round tournaments? Maybe your team should play them or are you a ham and egger? There are only so many teams that can compete with a prep school.
