    Clubs doing kids wrong

How is it fair your told that they plan on only keeping 18 but then they continue to have tryouts after you have 18 already? I don’t like leaving mid season and I know a lot of clubs do this but how is it fair to the kids? It does not affect my kid but I feel horrible for the kids that it does. It is also too late for them to go somewhere else at this point and you know they will not get a full refund either. It is just wrong.

It’s the Match Fit way, they don’t care about their players only their checkbooks.

Hahaha I was just going to say… the poster must play for MFA. Especially MFA shore. When we were there, the coach told us we will eventually have 23 girls on the roster at u13. No thanks.

All these clubs will always take the next best thing that comes in to their club. They would never turn away talent and will replace you in a second. It’s just the way it is unfortunetly.

Tough sometimes when you pick a roster and then find out either your forecast of how a kid would be is wrong, or they didn't make the jump like the others so they are left behind.

Yes it is tough. But guess what.. they took the kid and they paid their tuition. So they deserve a chance to PLAY and develope like everyone else. If they are given the chance but still can’t hang after the year is over…. DONT GIVE THEM ANOTHER OFFER!!!!! Simple as that. But guess what—- these clubs will prob still give that player an offer and just have them ride the bench because they are another paycheck.

Best way to turn a kid off from the game is to force them into a situation where they are in over their head. You are doing more harm than good by your campaign.

All clubs do this.....They bring in new kids all the time to check them out. If your MLSNex they have new kids come in every single week. Keeps your kid n his toes.

'Club' parent here. I have to disagree and say parents are doing their kids wrong if they feel this way. You and your kid have a choice where you play. That being a town team up to academy. Each level of play represents new challenges as well as higher stakes for winning and being at the 'top'.

From what I've seen, parents want their kids to be at the top, put against other top players, challenged in practice, and think development can only happen at a 'top clubs'. So they put their kids there and expecting instant success. They skip all the other work that's needed to succeed and develop. It's more just this expectation that I'm paying so it should happen. Unrealistic goals and expectations are put on their kids.

At the club level I assume the OP is referencing, it's club v club. They're trying to field the best team and mentality is club first.

It is not about the actual playing time but about going from on the roster to not sure if your on the roster week to week. Your paying for product A but they are then changing it to a completely different product after you pay. It would be like buying and suv but they are giving you a minivan instead. You would walk away if a car dealership did that and go buy an suv somewhere lease. In this case you can not walk away because they have your money and odds are you cannot find a new team because it is to late. It is a bait and switch. No one can justify a clubs action for doing this
