What’s going on with SJEB 2008 GA team? Seems like they lost quite a few good players.

Sjeb struggling at the hs ages. The entire 2010 team left along with some 09 and 08s. Nothing much left there. -

The 08s have been hemorrhaging players since 20-21 season including losing players that have come in and out for just a year or 2. Players have left to go to PDA Blue, White, South, PF, Ukies, Real, and Sporting or just quit all together. SJEB has also always had a history of issues with players starting in 8th grade and teams gradually losing players and getting worse through HS, though not as bad as the 07s/08s/09s fall from grace. There are currently about 5 (out of about 15) players on the roster that have been on that team since before covid, 2 of which have been part time players the last year or so, 2 players that came from Rush, 2 that just came from Kingsway, 5 from the B team (but we'll see how much they actually get to play), and the rest came from other low level EDP level town teams in the last year or 2. I think there is almost as many of the former Barons on Sporting as there are on the current SJEB team this year. I don't blame them for leaving as the #1 reason they left is JT. The guy told players who have gone on to start on better teams that they were nothing but bench players their to support his "stars". The same "stars" who are now also at other clubs or that treat soccer as a part time sport. The guy should give lessons on how not to manage a team. Belittle long time A team club players, alienate long time B team players by inviting players from outside the club to playoffs and showcases, fly out to California for playoffs and not take the game seriously at all (wasting players/parents time and money)...the list can go on and on. SJEB should really move him back to the technical director of the u-littles where he excelled as no one in SJ area compared to how those 07/08/09 teams were trained back in the day. He just can't seem to handle the older players at all.Comment

Is that supposed to be some kind of huge feather? They have a 79% acceptance rate and a team that hasn't broken .500 since covid. The only reason players want to go their is that they have some of the nicest dorms in the country. I mean, great, D1...wow...must be proud. Personally, I'd rather my D go to a top 10 D2/D3 that is a top college in her major then prioritize some low ranked D1. But hey, congratz...Originally posted by Guest View PostComment
