If anyone comes on this site and talk about their coach and how much they hate them but are still at the club then they’re the fools so the only people that come on this site to talk about coaches are either kids that got cut or moved down teams or other clubs trying to find a way to make their club look better when they’re all the same

Agreed. It’s crazy to me. If your aren’t being treated right of the situation doesn’t suit your child….leave!

One thing I would say I’ve noticed since moving recently to FA, that we are playing A LOT. I don’t know if this is all girls teams though or just our coach. Most weekends the coach finds extra games for us and we probably get some kind of email every day. It’s a lot sometimes but this is my kids only sport so I’m ok with it. I imagine if you play multiple sports how intense the schedule and communication is might be a little too much.

the open play system FA uses gets you lots of opportunities to play. And yes sometimes it’s last minute. My child is an FA kid. We play triple the amount of games other clubs do. How can u not be satisfied with that. More bang for your buck and more chances and opportunities to get better. If you’re not serious or committed it can be a lot. Again everyplace is different. Go to a place that suits you!

These opportunities only come for those FA thinks are talented. There are a lot of later bloomers out there they overlook plus there isn’t a lot of development happening at FA. There may be a lot of communication from the club and coaches but it’s with a very negative tone.

Isn’t a lot of development coming from the club? I think you have lost all credibility for soccer knowledge and you now sound like a butt hurt parent who got cut.
We play against them and I can honestly say they have the most consistent development of age groups and teams I have seen in NJ. Their older ages groups leave a lot of questions to be asked but they improve and develop kids year after year, I don’t think anyone with any soccer knowledge can argue that.

Club training alone brings you nowhere anymore. FA kids which developed nicely are doing extra sessions. FA training is a lot of repetition which is good to a certain degree but with the risk to get boring and losing the fun. Personally I prefer to have a higher training vs game ratio because for the younger kids because development should be the focus.

All top kids from any club do outside training. But FA is very consistent and if you watch them play or ask anyone they consistently play very good soccer especially at young age groups. Now a days any kid who wants to really excel and is committed trains private and groups. That’s just a part of it. But FA is def one of the better clubs as far a development. Older age kids leave due to no mls next or ECNL opportunities.

is the private training or the club training responsible for success?

Kid didn't play at FA but back during the u10 to u13 days 70 plus games a year including tournaments and scrimmages wasn't uncommon. Also doesn't count futsal which was league and 2-3 tournaments as well.

Private training can only show you what to do while at the club is where you would be able to assimilate it into what they are doing and execute it, so it would be both. You can have a great trainer and still stink and a bad club and you could have an average trainer while at a good club and be a stand out. Not all training is the same though as no one trains everything.

All too kids train private. And it doesn’t take long to see where most go. Parents like to keep it quiet but A game is a fav of lots. Ppl talk smack but go sit in his parking lot and check the faces in and out on his doors. Also SG is a top landing spot if you can get in our deal with their scheduling demands. I might be missing one or two sleepers.

SG is big for top players from top clubs like MFA and pda and others in that area.
