I have heard good things about FA teams but heard some really troubling things about the coaches particularly in the girls side. Can anyone who is there or was there recently share the communication styles of the coaches? How are the girls treated?

First class organization. Tara Lamb is the director of the girls program. She is pretty buttoned up and approachable on top of being a great coach. No one person or club is perfect. But haven’t heard any bad things about FA as far as coaching.

Why don’t you name some places or coaches that are top of the list? Or better yet some ppl can name the bad ones. FA is run very well and does many things that lots of the bigger clubs don’t. And Tara is highly respected.

I’m sure the post was put from a rival of FA trying to get a page of anonymous people to write bad stuff about the coaches. Whenever there’s a coach question you will always get people that love how the coach works and people that hate it so I would honestly ignore any negative comment on here and go and see for yourselves. Ask to attend a session and compare it to all the sessions you’ve watched so far (or maybe you’ve never watched a session because you sit in your car - people have a lot to say about the coach that they don’t even watch but that’s a whole other post lol) listen to the way they communicate and the way the players behave. Do the kids respect the coach, do they work hard, do they look like they learning? I’ve gone to many sessions and the coach is more interested in creating a relationship with the parents during the time they are supposed to be coaching than actually coaching. I look for the above in all coaches
