another collision course for best 2 teams.
Of course another final for them. Would like to see how they play against other top private teams in nearby states since RP is ranked #1 in country based on how they play against some pretty bad competition in NJ. Not all bad but definitely some. That’s not a challenged comment that’s actually a legitimate question. Some of those private schools in both A and B brackets can’t compete in their gym class let alone in States. Small schools and small programs who play in bad conferences. Just facts. Those teams have no chance. These two teams would always likely end up in the finals. Most certainly RP.

Both RP and DePaul played out of state teams this year. RP traveled to Pa to play a game. DePaul played a team from Md. they both won. DePaul could have had a game ag Ramsey, would have been an indication, but the game was cancelled. RP picked up MSD ( ranked 10) and beat them. I agree that the competition in non public is no match for RP or DePaul.

RP plays in a decent conference , better than what DePaul play in, but no one is competing with either of them. Pingry, Immaculatta, Gil, Peddie, saddle River day, MSD have all lost to RP and are all non public schools. Immaculate Heart is DePaul only competition on there schedule and they have been beat too. Even if you put them in Non Public A they both would win. Let’s see next year when they lose there big name players. Maybe some other team may have a chance. Lol

I heard it was very close. Paul vi lucky to get out with the win. I would say a 10-1 win for DePaul was domination.

RPS currently ranked #2 in the US. DePaul #8. This is going to be epic. Teams are a combined 39-0. Watched RPS beat Wildwood Catholic in the sectional semis, a solid winning team. When it was 9-0 after 24 mins, RPS coach pulled all the starters and gave the 2nd string strict orders not to attack the goal. They played keep-away in their own end for 16 more minutes, and throughout a shortened 20 minute 2nd half. Never seen anything like it.

you mean they beat the 12-6 Wildwood Catholic that had 4 of their 12 wins against teams with winning records (and a couple of them were close to .500)? RPS is a good team, but they really do not play that hard of a schedule. They tried this year by scheduling an early game vs Freehold and beat them 1-0, but we all know how Freehold turned out

it was 3-1 against freehold, but I see the point

RP played top 10 teams this season. Pingry 3 times , immaculatta was ranked both times they played them. Played MSD, who is ranked. Freehold who was ranked and played without AH and was successful. How can you say they don’t play a hard schedule. Played a ranked team from Pa and Pennington cancelled on them. They def tried to bulk up the schedule. I’m sure no one wanted to play them either. Hard to find games if your top in state.

Its easy to say they didnt play a hard schedule because they didnt

all that means is Pingry (7 losses), immaculatta (6 loses) and freehold (7 loses including lost first round of states to a 7-10-3 team) were all over ranked from the start (2 of the 2 probably because they are in RP's conferences)

Pingry is #15 (and RP only won 2-0, and 2-1 in 2 of the games), immaculatta is not in the top 20 (and RP won 3-1 and 1-0), MSD is not ranked (and lost to some average teams)
                                #19

look at a team like Ramsey. Beat #10 Montclair, #7 ramapo, #20 old tappan, lost to 21-2 #19 madison and a bunch of other teams that actually have a winning record
