I just found out that the size of the ball for MLSNext U13 is different from the ball for NAL U13. I always thought that the transition from U12 to U13 included the full-sized pitch, 11 v 11, and the size 5 ball among others. MLSNext U13, however, continues to use the size 4 ball while NAL U13 uses the size 5 ball. I'm not an expert to say which is better, but am curious of the rationale for each.

More technically sound players. That is the information they sent last year to the u13 players when they made the change after the preseason of playing with a size 5 ball.
