What exactly is the National Academy League? Looks like it’s pulling girls teams from EDP prem I and II? Seems bad for EDP - leaving only town teams there

On the girls side NAL started when there was a legal challenge to “GA Rising” (GA’s ECRL). It’s in its 2nd year and now has 4 divisions. Much like GA, NAL splits NJ in middle. Only 6 NJ teams in it of different levels. My guess is 1 would be premier 1, 2 premier 2 and 3 in premier 3, but that is only a guess

NPL mid Atlantic is another new division that has taken more teams abs ECRL2 expanded and took even more teams. There are posts here about all of the club v club leagues around here now

No team on the girls side in EDP I or II is going to NAL, that would be a downgrade.

well it is club v club, so the entire club would go, but some clubs have already gone. Not saying it is a good thing, just saying it has happened
SJEB had 4 teams in Premier-1/2 last year and are in NAL this year
Real had 1
TSF had 1
NJP would probably be 1 or 2 in most of their teams


Places like Kearny Thistle, Freehold, Wall, Berna Legacy, Europa, Torpedos, FA, ... are probably going to have to make some moves soon since it seems to be the way things are going

and then everything falls apart again since all of these clubs will NOT be able to field teams in every age group and the club v club model falls back to team v team

You do understand that most of these clubs have more than one team at each age group, correct? SJEB and Real top teams are in GA, no one is putting good teams into NAL.

you understand you are a moron and that what you said doesnt matter. Their 2nd teams are still Premier 1 or 2, but that is probably too complicated for you to understand (since you already know it all)

NAL doubled in size in one year, meaning EDP lost a lot of teams. Both NAL and ECRL provide a path to better competition and a top level League.

Ive seen NAL on the boys side. Its not good. Its different than EDP, not better though.

I have a feeling this was more of a geographic appeal vs them actually deserving to get promoted. Feels like gal wanted a nyc location more then the team itself. There are better teams out there
