CSA Monmouth is a solid option for younger kids, specifically K-7th grade, and more specifically, kids from the shore area. Once you get to 8th grade, if you’re a top-tier player you will need to move to ECNL for more exposure and better competition.
However, for most players, staying at CSA will be the best choice. Smaller rosters, more playing time, great facilities, and plenty of opportunities to still be seen at GA events/playoffs. Not every player is the same and many kids that attempt to go to ECNL will have a miserable time making long drives to get little playing time.
Is CSA the best club in NJ… no. Is it the best option for many… yes.
