The way it was explained to us...Each division (North/South) will play 2 matches against each other ie home/away and there will be a crossover event at Coppermine in Jan where North and South will play 2 matches against each other. We have not be informed if the crossover will have any colleges that show up, if those games count towards conference standings or how this effects playoffs.

ECNL is more established and draws a large majority if not all new clubs over the last 4 years directly from GA. IF ECNL ever started booting out under performing clubs those clubs would be beating down the door of GA over NPL, DPL, or USYS. Over all ECNL is better, just not around here. From MD to MA and over to OH the North East and New England ECNL conferences have done nothing to promote competition, only to try and stifle it. Every other conference for ECNL have brought in new clubs over the last few years and created an RL league that allows direct competition for non-ECNL clubs with the ECNL clubs.

Not really, 1 weekend in Pittsburg and 1 weekend in central PA then 2 local away games and the thing at Coppermine which is northern Baltimore and the rest are home games. A lot better then what it was. North has the toughest matchups as each of them have some top teams as well as some bad ones but still better then 3 mid to lower clubs in Armour, Celtic, and Skyline, a huge question mark of a club in TSJ with everything that has happened and 3 new clubs that don't have much of a track record against GA or ECNL clubs.

So play 3 weekends away just for league games? Pittsburgh, Central PA and Coppermine event. Then play Cali for December West showcase, NC for East showcase and then potentially west again for Playoffs/National showcase. Throw in Jeff Cup. Yikes!

Well, a single trip to Pittsburg and 2 weekends with drives of about an hour and a half are better then driving all over like ECNL and EDP. Hopefully playoffs are back on the east coast or at least somewhere cheaper to fly/stay then CA. Unlike ECNL clubs don't have to go to several showcases across the country.

Central PA games should not be an overnight. That's a 2-3 hour drive. Games should be scheduled on separate weekends. Let's see if that's what they are doing. 1 of the 2 showcases is optional.

ECNL only does 13. Kinda sucks to lose 4 conference games and 2 games a year overall.

looks like the schedules that are posted are a little funky still. Some 2011 teams have 17 games (Skyline) and other have 21 (Real Futbol)
