Is there some type of deal between PDA and Rutgers? Seems like a lot of PDA girls get recruited there

HC's get held accountable when (in no particular order):
- there is some type of a scandal, behavior embarrassing to the school
- there are level 1-2 NCAA violations and they are not a top head coach in a revenue generating sport
- HC has a conflict with AD and HC is not from a winning revenue generating sport
- it's time to renew the contract and coach wants more than what they deserve based on their record
- new AD is in town and they are reviewing everything and everyone
- boosters get frustrated
- team becomes a consistent league doormat (more than 2-3 years)
I do not think any of these apply in RU's case, but suppose HC's seat could get warm if the downward trend continues. It is possible now that BIG10 has teams from the west coast. Not only will competition/travel get harder, but recruiting will be more challenging. Can still play in front of your family, but be in sunny CA for example.
I only go to 1-2 games a season with kids and don't follow RU soccer close enough. However, I did notice a drop in their play once they lost their star GK and All-American striker a couple(?) of years ago. I am not Pep Guardiola, but try to pay attention to what is on the field beyond individual performances. The limited number of games I saw did not look as a tactical marvel, but they did not look one dimensional either. As my kids would say - "eh, kind of mid".

As best I can tell RU has 4/9 recruits from outside PDA in this season’s 2024 recruits, plus one Canadian transfer via Arkansas. 2025 recruiting class has at least 5 recruits from all over the US, so NOT PDA. Times appear to be changing at RU when it comes to more diversified recruiting.Comment
