I’ve been hearing that also. But not a fan of this because what if the kid is left back? There should be a cut off and graduation year. That way parents don’t leave their kids behind like they do in basketball for the advantage

I wouldn't worry about being a left back. Years ago, it was sort of thought of as the end of the evolutionary position. However over time, the role of the outside back has evolved into an attacking position. Face it...nobody is marking the left back so you have yards to roam and if you are proven worthy, you will have a lot of opportunity to excel.

Yes I know that is why they are not . It was implemented in 2017 . Every single year since this has been talked about and a rumor . Only because it was on an ecnl podcast that this blew up . It’s don’t matter what any of us say or feel . Someone will be negatively affected either was . Truth of the matter is the world is birth year and national teams are birth years , that is what they care about . Not ecnl teams and Little Karen born in Sept -Nov .

It will never be graduation year because lunatic parents will just continue to hold their children back in school until they are good enough. it goes by age, not grade.

ECNL will never be making any changes. It would have to be from the USSF as a previous poster stated.
