    MLS/MLSNext/ECNL Morocco > MLS/MLSNext/ECNL US

Keep drinking the kool-aid! Entire system needs to get blown up. Pay to play model won’t get US prepared for international play. Get your checkbooks out! New season starting!

3 players are over 23 years old. The rest of the roster is under 23.

It was by no means a good showing for the US today, but Morocco brought the best they could (including the 3 over 23's) and clearly want to medal. Good for them, but Olympic Men's Soccer isn't really representative of much on the world stage.

Just keep replying to yourself since you can't read. Clear troll post from the start, but was trying to give you the smallest piece of information that you clearly can't comprehend.

Wow. First shot on goal happened in the second half on a weak header that should have been just placed back into the middle of penalty area. They had 1 good chance but shanked the shot. Morocco had possession 64% of the time in first half. When pressing forward in 2nd half, the defense was torched on counter. Morocco able to attack with 7 against the US 10 and created many wore chances.

Nothing competitive about this game. Nothing at all. The entire system is a mess. U20 showed lots of guts but CONCACAF is a joke. Let’s see what they do on the world stage.

What will US Soccer do now? Nothing. No leadership.

I agree with everything you said.

But, Isn’t that the point of the MLS Next league. They are trying to do something about it. None of these kids came through the MLS Next league. Most of the roster was 21-23 years old, while MLS Next just finished its 4th year. Not sure anyone on the roster played MLS next ever or more than 1 year. You can’t fix a problem over night. In 4 years from now the kids on the Olympic roster at say 22 years old will be the first group that went through the MLS Next youth system.

the pay to play system absolutely kills the development of so many kids, but how do you fix it? The cost of running these leagues and training kids is high. Fields don’t pay for themselves unless people are paying to use them. No one is going to work for free. Where does the money come from to take care of all this stuff so it isn’t on the parents? the pro teams cover the cost of their youth teams. The NYCFC, Red Bull, Union, Revs, DC United Academies operate for free for the youth. We need to have way more than just the mls youth academy teams have the development be affordable.
