I will say this, as much bragging certain parents and coaches do about certain kids, it just goes to show that they are just small potatoes in the big scheme of things. I would love to know what this kid has done at age 13 that has her getting a pro contract. I guess being on a national championship team, going to the conference cup or playing on the usynt doesn't mean anything compared to some kids.

I can’t imagine, am not jealous, and would not want this for my kid. Different strokes for different folks and she is obviously very driven, but these early entries all seem a bit like we are robbing children of their childhood. What do I know, never a pro athlete, played d1, wish I pushed myself harder at the end of the day, but have a very happy life and kids who I hold accountable, but who I let dictate how hard they want to work.
I wish her the most success and a lot of money and sponsorship because I feel like she is indeed very lucky and deserving, but maybe robbed of something more valuable.

Has anyone watched her play. I have seen games on YouTube. I think it’s unfair to her. She doesn’t have a chance. Look at Moultrie. Signed at 14, she’s been barely a starter mostly she comes off the bench. Unfortunately this is mainly for publicity but I hope for the best for her. This is so spot on. Moultrie gave up her whole childhood, college, etc. Now her entire career is TBD. For what? One 7 fig deal with Nike? Okay 500k after taxes. Big deal. Peanuts money in the scheme of life unless her family does not know how to set her up to use soccer for a top-tier college admission, a successful post-college professional career, how to invest wisely, etc. What a shame.
