I believe ECNL rules allow 2 maybe 3 trap players per game.
their trap players are really good, should not blame them.

I know the rules, my question was why? Is not good for team chemistry, reduces regular team players playing time, and benefits are usually minor. Also,it gives the coach a false sense of team strength and weaknesses. Unless they chasing wins they are wasting precious time for development of regular team players.
