PDA and others will bring in two or three new players a year. Some because they are good soccer players, others because they are gifted athletes with size who have enough Soccer to work with. From there, they either work themselves into the starting lineup as fixtures or they don’t. The ones that don’t are faced with the decision of either staying for the exposure if they are in the top 15 or to leave for playing time. In the meantime, this keeps the starting 11 honest and challenges them to be better and to maintain their starting role vs get complacent. Of course, there is the matter of the coaches style, and whether or not a player fits into that which will always be the case anywhere you go. Is there a little bit of favoritism, politics, etc… involved? Of course. Show me a team that doesn’t have that in any sport. It’s quite normal. But PDA has to win or they will make changes to players and to coaches.
I see nothing wrong with any of this… It seems quite normal.

What you aren’t considering is the player who is taking the fall off of PDA to play with the boys MLS team. If she comes back in the spring and slides right into the starting lineup, it is not going to be welcomed at all.
