Negative talk often inadvertently promotes someone because it keeps them in the spotlight. For a youth soccer player, this means people are paying attention and she's making waves. Remember, even bad publicity is still publicity. If you’re all talking about her, she is being noticed by all which must means she’s doing something right. The attention, even if critical, helps to build her brand and keeps her relevant.

Let’s see it on the field. All I’m seeing is parental hype and $$ spent but I hope she proves it this year on the PITCH in GAMES. IQ, field vision, tactical awareness, mental toughness, technical ability, it’s all there! Her parents have done an excellent job helping her to round off her skills by doing this and doing that, and most of all working with FT over the years since she was 5. However I do agree they stretch themselves thin, and it’s not fair to other teammates when she’s missing for this or missing for that. I always believed there needs to be a priory commitment to a team and fill in the rest around it. But it’s not my kid so I don’t judge.
