With the national playoffs quickly approaching, I have to say I don't think MF advances beyond the playoff stage. The team has been struggling all season, and the MF wonder kid has been looking more and more like a good rec player than the superstar DB has made her out to be. She has a problem holding her own position on the field, and has been getting in the way of the other players on the team. It seems she's been brainwashed into thinking she can do it all, without any success. DB needs to put a stop to her running all over the field and get her to start being a team player.
As for PDA Blue, I think they have a easy time getting out of the playoff rounds, and advance to finals. Unfortunately I think this is as far as they get and there will be zero way they win a second year in a row. The team has not been playing like they did last season. They seem disconnected, and it was proven that the team is to dependent on DS and AM. They seem to have lost their focus this season. Losing to HEX didn't help matters. MS did more harm than good with this team. The scrimmages they have been doing didn't look like the championship team that they are.
MF has some really tough competition in the playoff rounds. PDA has a easy one. They just need to start playing as a team, not as the DS show. And if DB or MS are reading this, a word of advise. Pull these kids out of the game if they are having a bad game. Both of you have a tendency to leave them in the entire game, even when they are playing bad. Perfect example was the last PDA/MF game. GH was having probably the worst game I've ever seen her play. It was because of her a goal was scored against the team. DB should have pulled her when she started ball hogging from her own teammates. Had he have taken her out, maybe the results would have been better.
Now, this is where the PDA parents respond about how amazing the team did this past season. Great feather in your cap, beating PDA South twice, which I might add both games were only a 0-4 loss. Last year you beat them 0-8 both games. And the last South/North game Blue didn't get their first goal till the last 10 min of the first half. So, that being said, either South is improving, or North is having issues. Both MF and Blue are decent teams. I'm very happy for their success. This post is not attacking a certain team, and my d did play for north and will be moving on to college in the fall, so I have no attachment to either team. Just my 2 cents. Final note, the parents of these teams need to chill out with the "we're the best ever" posts. Just be grateful your kids are healthy and enjoying the game with the success they have. No need to constantly post about them. Just remember, scouts are also following the parents as well as the kids. The last thing colleges want is pain in the ass parents on the sideline. I went through the whole recruitment process, and I think I have some sort of experience about what I'm saying.
