After ECRL playoffs, its clear ECRL Northeast is the better ECRL league, so perhaps should start referring to ECRL North Atlantic as ECRL2

would love to see how teams 3-5 in each division do against each other. There are a couple of good teams from random clubs in random years and people use that to declare all of ECRL2 is good. My town team beat a couple of ECRL2 teams in tournaments (guessing that is why a bunch dont play them anymore)

doubtful - MFS's 2 teams failed to making the finals at the RL playoffs in Greensboro.

Just to be very clear, ECRL 2 teams are basically all rec teams. There is zero way local rec clubs can compete at the ECNL and real ECNL RL level. Only people bragging that the ECRL 2 teams are really good are parents whose kid play on them, and think that they are at the same level as ECNL.

the "Real" ECNL RL doesnt seem to do very well when they go toe to toe. Of course there are going to be weak spots with certain teams and age groups. There is a reason PDA Blue ECNL-RL always finishes at the top of the table: Its not a B team. The north atlantic clubs love saying they play at a higher level in the RL because what else are they going to say? The better clubs in NE have much better teams than the NA. There are also terrible teams in NE, just like PDA South RL or Pipeline RL.
