I’ll demean the parents instead.

MF are a decent side. They did only lose 2-1 to the #1 seed Arlington though I doubt Arlington are actually #1. We’ll see in Seattle.

Problem w MF is they don’t play. Skip the midfield to the speedy strikers and focus on winning. Those strikers eventually end up at PDA who plays possession.

You have to learn how to possess first and once you do that you pick your moments to skip the midfield to get out of pressure and surprise with the counter. It’s the teams who learn how to do both that are the real contenders.

The football dads will challenge this. You can tell who’s who on the sidelines just by their build. They think they know the game because they understand how to read rankings.

MFA can play possession and counters well, coach just needs to make a couple adjustments to the lineup so the team can play multidimensional. There are too many clearances to the other team and a lack of build up. A more balanced approach would do wonders.
