Technically it’s not the entire FA 2012 team. 12/14 are playing in the 2011 silver team along with 5-6 2011 players. It would’ve really been cool to just see how just only their entire 2012 team does in 11v11 without the help of the 2011s.
In terms of competition. SJEB has played great 2012 teams in 11v11 in Jeff Cup (VA) and PDA Spring Kickoff (NJ) and even played an arguably best 2012 team in the country in Jeff Cup. Meanwhile FA has dodged played 11v11 in tournaments with just their 2012 team for an example the Jefferson Cup. But they have won great teams in 9v9 and have not lost a match in almost a year even with all the 9v9 competition they played.
In terms of who’s better. Last spring in 9v9, FA played SJEB 3x and won 4-1 (1x) and 5-2 (2x). But in terms of 11v11 I think SJEB wins in a close game. In the future though FA would probably end up losing their best players to teams with badges such as CSA, MFA, PDA, STA, etc.
I do think that FA would win that 11v11 flight in their own age group in the fall but the competition would be low which is why they should play with the 2011’s until their best players leave for clubs with badges.
Questions.. Who said that FA is playing SJEB twice? When in the schedules it shows FA plays SJEB once. Does SJEB have their 2013 player rostered on their 2012 11v11 team?
Also another question a bit out of topic. In the PDA Spring Kickoff, was SUSA using their A team or B team? Because i heard they were in an ECNL tournament that weekend.

What I like reading Is FA team is staying together. SJEB team is staying together. Two good teams staying put and are arguably two of the better 2012 teams in our state. It’s been a while since NJ has been this strong across the board for teams. People so desperate to leave, stay with your teams when you are getting better. Both teams seem to love the coaching they are getting. Somehow we still manage to find ways to be negative in this situation. Well done to both teams.Comment
