NJ premier vs PDA ECNL RL (C team)

We just moved to central NJ and are considering PDA ECNL RL team and NJP. Both teams are good and probably at similar level. PDA plays ECNL RL which has more teams while NJP plays national academy league with less teams. We have very limited knowledge and wonder if someone can give us some insights for these two teams. Or any other good teams in central NJ? Thank you in advance.

Reading posts on this forum gives me impression that PDA blue (guess it is the A team) is the best team, and chance is really low to be promoted from C team ( ECNL RL) to B team (white) or from B team to A team (blue).
Maybe higher chance by trying out the blue I or white team every year from outside than hoping being promoted from C team to B team?

Probably NJP is a better choice overall. DTS has good coaches and skill trainings. But National academy league may have more travels than ECRL if this is a concern. They had a tournament at Richmond VA recently.

2010 Girl. She played EDP in 2022-2023 and then ECRL in 2023-2024.

In general NJP is a lot better than PDA-C. Our town team feeds both PDA and NJP (we are like 15 minutes away). Best players go to PDA-B, next NJP, then the ones that cannot make the town A team and their parents think they are great, go to PDA-C

Lots of talk (and just talk right now), NJP will be Girls Academy in 2025, and that will be more travel (unless they reorg GA which is more talk).

2010 seems to be NJP's weakest year, and one of the better PDA-C teams.

But it is really hard to tell since PDA-C doesnt really play anyone else outside of ECRL, and when they do it is either very low level teams they beat or better teams they lose to

I guess if you just want to nice letters on the jersey and you can say "We are PDA" and leave off "C team", then do PDA. Personally I think NJP is better and will probably get better if they get GA since they will be able to recruit better players

8 hours in and you still aren't getting the reaction you want by repeatedly calling out PDA. I can't tell if you are former PDA and mad they cut your kid or just a hater who likes to cry about how they have two ECNL teams from one location. Either way, good job by people not buying into this. Next step will be poster (s) above will pretend to be the other side (pose as a mad PDA parent) since they couldn't rile anyone up from PDA.

This premier team is really low. They normally have some good teams but these don’t compare. Maybe some of the kids normally at njp are at regional.

Thank you very much. Very helpful. Yes indeed NJP 2010g is the weakest team. Neither our child or we parents care about the name of the team but care more where she fits and gets the best improvements and of course she is happier. Thanks for the GA possibility info. Travel is a concern because we have other children who also have weekends activities

I learned some other good teams like blaze or MFA but they are far especially considering the traffic in the evenings. PDA and NJP are the two closest teams near us. PDA is the name I heard the most on this forum. Not sure why you felt bad about my mentioning its name.

Probably a Father of a D that plays on a PDA C team and has a chip on his shoulder. They are always angry and defending their misery

there will be travel with either. If you are in a league with 6 teams out of state, then you can expect 4 weekends a year travelling (they try to double up games so you play one Saturday afternoon and one Sunday morning), but if I would have to guess, by the time NJP gets GA, they will have reworked GA to have a new division where NJ is in the center. 2 years ago, PDA white was in the New England division (just do PDA didnt have 2 teams in the same one) and from what I hear, that travel was painful (since EVERYONE was out of state). Parents complain, and the leagues hear it (but are slow to act, but act sooner or later)

There are also other choices. You can do things like FC Berna and if your kid is one of the top kids there, they can also play on NJ Nationals. No idea what level your kid is at, so hard to say. At U15, you either have to be much better than a player on the current team, or someone has to leave in order to get a spot (and there is no PDA D team or NJP B team to drop down to, so they would have to cut someone to give your kid a spot)

Thank you for the additional information. We did not know FC Berna and just searched up, and their legacy 2010 girls black is super good. Thank you for sharing.
