This post is everything that is wrong with youth soccer, its parents! People who have no personal life of their own either professionally or personally. They believe they are part of the team and even wear club merchandise. It’s one thing to live vicariously thru your child’s sport and experience but this post is more telling how serious the problem is with some parents. Thankfully, colleges fully vette a recruit including parents. They speak with club coaches & DOC’s who will tell the truth to college coaches because it will affect their reputations as well. I have seen players who were getting recruited immediately “ghosted” by college coaches because of parents.

Nothing funny about it. Daughters team parents are at a loss on what to do. They should not put us in this position. Keep thier business away from the kids activities.

So all of the parents know, but the spouses don't? Doesnt make a whole lot of sense. Why exactly do the parents feel like they need to do anything at all? Maybe they have arrangements with spouses. Maybe they are just really good friends. Maybe any of it is none of your business at all.

No, not all the parents know, just a few of us. You don't go out to your car parked away from everyone, while kids asleep, late at night in a hotel parking lot with another man or woman, for hours. You don't park your car in a random parking lot and hop in another man or woman's car. As stated before we believe this is going on. Should we say anything? It's uncomfortable when the other spouses are there.

Mind your own business.
Think of it this way, 15-20% of spouses cheat so there's a good chance, someone else on the team cheats as well. Some likely cheat on their taxes, some drive reckless, possibly . 20% of marriages have some form of violence in them. Spend your time on the sidelines trying to guess which other parents have activities you disapprove of.
Still don't understand why this is "ruining the team". The "team" is made up of blissfully unaware kids.
