Best summer tournaments for high level players

We are away too much to commit to a summer select team but my child's teammates and soccer buddies want to enter games/tournaments when they are available. They all play for high level 2014/2013 teams. Suggestions on summer tournaments/games?

They are 10-11 years old FFS. Tell them to relax.

there are some, but they are hit or miss. Lots of teams missing lots of players and using guest players. I find it funny since people use the summer results to say one team is better than another when it is all random to me

Indeed. At that young age, they would be better served doing something else to recharge. Obviously stay active to keep up fitness and have soccer balls around for touch, perhaps some structured soccer play. But no need to drill repetitive stress injuries from doing the same movements year-round. Play other sports for fun and diversity of movements.

if you kid enjoys soccer than 1 or 2 weekends over the entire summer is a great idea. The people above are probably the ones that have their kids sit in front of the TV all summer and then wonder why they are slow in sports and schools in the fall

Nope. It's a 10-month training with 2 months off intentionally built in. It's by design, since they are friggin' kids they need rest.

Wish we all had access to a pick up game culture in our local neighborhoods but many do not. Look into DTS.

This is why America sucks at soccer. #nodaysoff
