Yeah everyone says this age group is so good but it’s actually really bad. None of the teams play any soccer and they all have long kicks on goal kicks either from an outfield player or goalie, very rarely pass short or big throws in to the box or corners/freekicks for goals. It’s all because kids can’t head at this age, so they’re playing on the fact the ball goes in the air and it’s unpredictable. Handball here or there. That’s how CSA won state cup, handballs inside the box from throw ins. Wait till 11v11 and the shift will change.

Add in goals off punts and that pretty much covers it. Too many coaches and parents concerned with wins now instead of teaching good soccer. Just look at the 100+ pages about which club has the best 10 year old girls soccer team. It’s absurd.

The strange part is the players don’t need to play this way. At the top clubs the girls are capable of playing better than kick and run American physical **** soccer. If they lose a few games, who cares? Clearly the clubs do because it lowers their ranking. Why do we pay for this again?
